Use baking soda to clean these 3 doggy messes

Here are three baking soda hacks to keep your dog and house clean!

Dogs inevitably make messes here and there. But you don't have to run out to the store for cleaning supplies every few weeks. In fact, one of the greatest solutions is right in your cupboard – baking soda. Here are three problems and how to fix them with baking soda to keep your place and your pooch sparkling clean!

1. A potty accident
Dogs accidentally go the bathroom inside, especially when they're younger or sick. In addition to dirtying the carpet, there's also an unpleasant aroma that tends to linger when this happens. According to Dog Channel, you can eliminate the odor by sprinkling baking soda over the soiled area. Then, simply vacuum it up.

2. Dog vomit
The source also confirmed that baking soda has a similar affect on pooch vomit. Pour a handful baking soda over the affected area to alleviate the bad stench. To clean the vomit itself, make your own solution. Add two teaspoons of salt, two teaspoons of borax and a half cup of white vinegar to make an effective stain remover, suggested Cesar's Way. The recipe is great for heavier carpets.

3. Dirty fur
Baking soda is like dry shampoo for dogs. Remove your pooch's Hartz® flea collar then get to work. According to The Bark, just rub the baking soda into the fur then brush it. Voila!
